The Person
Behind the Prints
Hi, I’m Emeline — the hands and heart behind Arturas.
I’m a graphic designer, printmaker and digital marketeer based in Ostend, Belgium. During the day, I work in marketing, and in the evenings, I turn my small home studio into a space filled with ink, paper, and quiet focus. I’ve always been drawn to quiet, tactile crafts, things that take time, patience and soul.
Through linocut printing, I’ve found a balance between control and imperfection, rhythm and stillness. Each piece I make carries a bit of that, an echo of the process, the mood, and the moment it was made.
When I’m not carving or printing, you’ll probably find me with a cup of coffee, sketching ideas, or getting lost in music and stories. Arturas is a reflection of all those little things that make life feel human, honest, and beautifully imperfect.
Follow the process
Sketching
Every print begins with a spark. I sketch my ideas digitally, searching for the right flow, balance, and that hint of mystique that defines every Arturas piece.
Carving
With carving tools in hand, I cut the design into linoleum. Every line is carved by hand, no machines, just patience. The carving marks stay visible in every final print.
Inking
The linocut block gets a fresh, even layer of ink. This moment sets the tone...
too much or too little ink changes everything.
Hand-printing
Each print is pressed one by one, fully by hand. No two impressions ever look exactly the same — that’s the beauty and the magic of linoprinting.
